Today, it has become essential, encompassing regulatory, financial, and operational dimensions. After several years of salary growth driven by the structuring of the role, compensation is stabilizing in 2025, with significant variations depending on the industry and a company's level of sustainability maturity. The most sought-after profiles are those with expertise in ESG regulations (CSRD, EU taxonomy, duty of care, etc.) and the ability to leverage data and AI to automate reporting and enhance sustainability performance management.
