Linked to the implementation of a content marketing strategy, particularly digital content, the goal is to attract qualified prospects and generate leads for the sales teams (inbound marketing). These positions have appeared relatively recently with the sudden rise in popularity of content marketing approaches within companies. This role is well suited to the challenges of SaaS software but also more generally to developing tech startups with limited marketing budgets. Competent candidates, presenting a balance of editorial skills and marketing/business acumen are therefore highly sought-after in these environments, especially for those aligning with the roles of more generalist growth hackers. Salaries are therefore on the rise, even if they are still relatively capped by the typical junior-level status of these profiles and the usual low compensation found in startups.
