The Director of Innovation, who started out as an experiment, quickly became a 'senior' and 'expert' position before the Covid crisis, and salaries rose as the position became more highly valued. However, the role has always encompassed a wide variety of realities, depending on the type of company, the issues involved and, above all, the type of levers and resources (human, financial) entrusted to it, hence the salary levels, which have always remained fairly heterogeneous. Since the Covid crisis, the position has been called into question. The position still exists in some large groups, with comfortable salaries, but the trend is stable or even negative.
