About this position

Commentaire

The Chief Strategy Officer or CSO comes from start-up environments, and is fairly recent in other types of organisation. Working closely with the CEO, the CSO's role is to steer and develop the company's strategic initiatives, but also to provide an overall vision of the company's global development strategy, at a time when digital technology and the complexity of markets are making the future more uncertain. In start-ups, this key position is often filled by fairly young, high-calibre 'Chief of Staff' type profiles, with highly progressive/rapid career paths. In this case, the comfortable remuneration packages are similar to those for other key positions such as COO, CMO, etc. In larger organisations, the profiles are often more senior, with higher salaries, especially if the CSO belongs to the CoDir.
