Even though agile methodologies within companies undergoing digital transformation in all sectors have highlighted the roles of product owners, project managers are still sought-after in many contexts, but the salary has indeed stabilized and become capped. Salary is rather low for beginners, however profiles with three to five years of experience can reach up to 60K euros, and the most sought-after, with around eight years of experience, see their salary rise sharply. Freelancers and consultants with long-term contracts are more and more abundant in these positions, which somewhat blurs the trends in salary, but the general trend for the years to come is downward.
