The strongest market demand for IT profiles in 2024 will be for data engineers, and especially lead data engineers, capable of taking the lead on a project or a team, and passing on their valuable skills, particularly engineering profiles with a software background. For these profiles, salaries can soar quite quickly, and after 5 years' experience a good candidate can expect to earn 75-80 K in a package! Salaries continue to rise sharply after that, although the curve is a little less exponential.
